Clutter.co.uk is a popular website that had already existed for five years before our makeover. It was popular, but looking a little dated and it was time for a fresh look at the whole site. The brief also included taking the blog (which was hosted on a different site) and amalgamating it into the clutter.co.uk site. The owner of the site had also been appearing on mass media such as radio and was increasingly being asked to contribute as an expert to magazines and publications offline as well as online. The brief specified that we had to make the site more media-friendly.
We rebuilt the website in WordPress to make it easy to update and accommodate the blog easily. We customised the theme completely to create a look and feel that was bright and uncluttered, added quirky pictures and ensured there was a facility for the latest clutter blog posts to appear on the home page. We added a Media page with recordings of radio interviews and placed the blog at the heart of the website. We also added a customised bookshop and created a range of merchandise to help monetise the website. The client was absolutely delighted with the result and since launch, the website continues to go from strength to strength.
